Clinical Staff and Office Management
Committed to high standards of customer service, owners Paul and Cindy Sullivan have built a strong team with many long-time staff, ensuring patient continuity of care.
Paul J. Sullivan, P.T., M.H.S., Cert. M.D.T.
Paul is the owner of Barrington Rehabilitation and Sports Physical Therapy which he opened in March 1997. Paul earned his physical therapy degree from Northwestern University in 1983 and completed his Master of Health Science degree from the University of Indianapolis in 1989. Working as a physical therapist since 1983, Paul previously managed physical therapy centers for Physical Therapy Services, Baxter, Caremark and Health South before establishing Barrington Rehabilitation.
Paul is certified in McKenzie Method, a back therapy approach, following successfully completion of the required coursework and credentialing examination. Paul is certified to complete pre-work screenings, functional capacity evaluations and work conditioning.
Paul is married to Cindy, the office manager, and has two children, Ryan and Kelsey. Paul's hobbies included running and he has completed several marathons including the Chicago Marathon in 2003 and 2008 and the Boston Marathon in 2007 and 2008. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Private Practice section, the Illinois Physical Therapy Association, the McKenzie Institute, and is a clinical instructor for Rosalind Franklin University School of Physical Therapy.
Leslie Flores, P.T.
Leslie started working at Barrington Rehabilitation in February 1999. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.A. in Kinesiology in 1994 and received her B.A. in physical therapy from Hanzehogeschool van Groningen in the Netherlands in 1998. Leslie has been married to Al for nine years and has two young children, Amanda and Kylie. She enjoys playing volleyball, biking, soccer, lifting, traveling and camping with the family. In addition, Leslie attends continuing education courses annually and recently added vestibular and balance to her education.
Jennifer Fletcher,
M.P.T.
Jennifer started working at Barrington Rehabilitation in March 2000. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1997 with a B.A. in pre-medicine and French literature, then went on to receive a Master of Physical Therapy degree at Carroll College in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Jennifer lives with her husband Kevin and their three kids, Katelyn, Erick and Ryan. Her outside interests include playing soccer, volleyball and spending time with her family.
Sue
Oban, O.T.R./L., C.H.T.
Sue graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in occupational therapy from the University of Illinois in 1985. In 1992, she went on to complete her hand therapy certification. Sue has managed and developed various hand therapy programs in the northern suburbs before working at Barrington Rehabilitation. Sue has many years of experience in fabricating orthotics/splints for elbow, wrist, and hand injuries. Sue lives in Fox River Grove with her husband Jim, and two sons, Jared and Alec. She likes to walk, run, water ski and snow ski when she is not busy with all her children's activities.
Heather Kapff, P.T.
Heather is pleased to have joined Barrington Rehab in June 2007. She completed undergraduate coursework at Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences in 2005. Heather graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master of Physical Therapy degree from NIU in May 2007. Heather is working towards a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and a manual therapy certification to further her professional development. Heather is an APTA-credentialed clinical instructor for graduate physical therapy students. Professional interests of hers include manual therapy, spine rehabilitation, general orthopaedic conditions, and rehabilitation of neurological conditions. Heather’s other interests and hobbies include jogging, dancing, decorating, gardening, traveling, and working on home projects with her wonderful husband, Dan.
